Google Workspace
Google Workspace gives Kroll Assistant the calendar and the address book behind the working day. Connecting it is the first step in most workspaces.
What it is used for
| Area | Read now | Write, when approved |
|---|---|---|
| Calendar | Events, attendees, times | Create and update events |
| Gmail | Message headers and labels | Drafts, then send |
| Contacts | Names, addresses, company details | Create contacts |
| Drive | File names and folders | Upload and organize |
A write permission is off unless it is enabled on the card, and any outbound action still passes an approval step.
Connect
Select Connect
On the Google Workspace card in Kroll Connect, select Connect.
Choose the account
A Google sign-in window opens. Choose the workspace account the business runs on. If your browser is already signed in to several accounts, pick the right one.
Approve the permissions
The consent screen lists exactly what the app is asking to read. Approve it. If the organization requires an administrator to approve the app first, the screen says so — send the request to the Workspace administrator.
Return to Kroll Connect
The window returns to the card. It should now read Connected, with the account address and the granted permissions.
Verify with a sync
Select Sync now. A successful sync records the time and turns the card’s Last sync line green. If it fails, the card shows Error and the reason.
An account on a managed domain (for example @theagencyre.com) may
need an administrator to approve the app once for the whole organization. Until
then the consent screen will not complete, and the card stays Not connected.
Permissions
Open Manage to choose what the workspace may read.
- Turning a permission off takes effect at the next sync.
- Adding a permission that was not granted at connect time requires reconnecting, because Google has to show the consent screen again.
What good looks like
- Status Connected.
- The account address matches the mailbox the team expects.
- Last sync is recent and no error is shown.
- The calendar block on the dashboard fills with the day’s appointments.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Consent screen says the app is blocked | The domain requires administrator approval | Ask the Workspace administrator to approve the app |
| Card shows Error after connecting | Token exchange or profile lookup failed | Select Reconnect; if it repeats, check the redirect address with your administrator |
| Calendar stays empty after a successful sync | The chosen account has no events for today | Check another day; an empty day is not an error |
