FAQ
Is this the legal case system?
No. Kroll Assistant is the real-estate operations app for The Agency and Always Construction. It does not read case documents, transcripts or the case database, and it never sends any of that material to an outside service.
Can Kroll Assistant send email or send a document for signature?
The dashboard does not send mail, create calendar events, upload files or send envelopes. The assistant can send a message to a linked chat channel only when outbound messaging is enabled for the workspace, and only after you confirm the text. Every send is recorded as an approval and an audit event.
Can I edit a listing here?
No. The MLS connection is read-only. Listings are entered and changed in the MLS itself; the Dashboard shows them.
What does “Setup required” mean?
The workspace has no credentials for that service yet. Nothing is connected, and no stand-in connection is used. Ask the workspace administrator to finish the setup, then connect the account once. The same label on the assistant panel means the model endpoint has not been configured.
What happens to my data if I disconnect a service?
The stored credential, the account label and the permissions for that service are deleted. The audit log keeps a record that the disconnect happened. Reconnecting later starts from a clean consent screen.
How often does the Dashboard update?
Each block refreshes on its own staggered interval — five minutes apart by default. A thin sweep along the top edge of a block means it is refreshing. You can always open the page again to force a fresh load.
Why does the same number appear in two places?
The portfolio totals on Today and the pipeline summary count different things: one counts what the business holds, the other what is moving. Read the caption under each figure.
Can other brokers see this workspace?
No. The workspace is private to the team that runs it. A team access check runs before the workspace sign-in, and the address is not shared outside the team.
Can I use the assistant from my phone?
Yes. Connect Telegram or WhatsApp in Kroll Connect. WhatsApp links the number by scanning a QR code; Telegram takes a bot token. Then link the chat with a pairing code and message it. The reply uses the same workspace data and the same conversation as the panel in the browser.
Does the assistant know things from outside the workspace?
No. It answers from the workspace data — the working day, the pipeline, projects and clients — and the conversation stays with the workspace. It does not read legal case material.
What happens to an assistant conversation?
The thread is stored with the workspace so it can reopen and a chat channel can carry the same context. Start over begins a new conversation and clears the panel. The answers are part of the audit trail of what the assistant did.
Where can I see who changed a connection?
In Kroll Connect, the Sync activity list at the bottom of the page, or the Audit log link in the Account block. Connects, syncs, permission changes, disconnects, sign-ins and chat channel activity are listed with the actor and time.
What should I not do?
- Do not paste credentials into email or chat.
- Do not share a token on a screen share.
- Do not connect a personal account where a business account is expected.
- Do not disable a permission to “tidy up” without checking whether a block on the dashboard depends on it.
